5. Spiritual Planes

Spiritual Planes

Could it be that the astral, mental, and spiritual planes actually exist?

Consider the Earth to represent the physical plane.

It is thought that the astral plane surrounds the physical plane, the mental plane surrounds the astral plane, and the spiritual plane surrounds the mental plane.

Venus and Mars, which represent the astral forces of love, attachment, and desire, surround the Earth.

Mercury and Jupiter, which represent the mental abilities of logic and abstract reasoning, surround Venus and Mars.

The Sun and Saturn, which represent the spiritual law of cause and consequence, surround Mercury and Jupiter.

Also, consider how the ordering of the planets perfectly describes our journey from the spiritual plane to the Earth and back again:

As we travel from the cause of life (Sun), we acquire a mind (Mercury), a heart (Venus), and a body (Earth). When we die, we experience our remaining desires (Mars*), review our lives and gain wisdom (Jupiter), and then reap the consequences of our lives (Saturn).

After we have come to our final judgements about ourselves (Saturn), we enter the pearly gates of heaven (Uranus derives from the Greek word for heaven).

*Mars comes from mar, which means to harm. The study group of people who died before the age of 29 (202 people) is most influenced by Mars. The study group of people who lived past the age of 80 (399 people) is absent of Mars' influence.

**The planets are ordered by their orbit's distance from the Earth's orbit. The Moon shares the Earth's orbit around the Sun and is, therefore, considered a part of the physical plane. The Earth represents waking life and the Moon represents dream life. Just prior to birth, we exist in a dreamlike condition in the womb of our mother, who is represented by the Moon.
